Clarkson Park

Clarkson Park is a 3-acre park named after Jim Clarkson, a Northfield resident and one of the Pioneers in the development of the Northfield Park District.  The park is located at 1950 Willow Road and includes the Clarkson Lodge, Cavallari Pavilion, and a children’s playground.  New amenities thanks to the 2004 renovations include The Lodge, which has indoor and outdoor fireplaces, concession stand, and meeting/party area, as well as the new outdoor playground.

Clarkson Park Facilities

The Cavallari Pavilion is our open-air shelter that has a number of picnic tables underneath it making it perfect for small outdoor gatherings. The seasonal ice rink will continue to be at the park and will typically be open from mid-December through January weather permitting.  Clarkson Park is also home to many of our Special events such as the Northfield State Fair, Kid’s Dog Show, our Halloween Trick or Treat, and the Children's Summer Concert in the Park Series.

Please see the Amenities & Rental Opportunities page for more details on renting out space at Clarkson Park.
